Antique Turquoise and 14k gold Cuff Links
This set gets my creative writing juices flowing. There is a name on the cuff link. Zoom in, take a look. Do you see it? Lord Gray!
My imagination takes me to a fancy party . Imagine it, the turn of the century. The location, Pitcairn Castle. The event, a fancy soiree to raise funds for a new woman’s school. The guests were picked for their generosity and forward thinking. The food is decadent and plentiful. The wine flowed like hunnny from a warmed spoon. Having a delicious time, a couple of the guests become quite intoxicated and needed to take refuge in the bosom of there host. Being shown to a comfortable room , one said guest, in sleepy drunkeness, removed first his cuff links and then tie clip. Placing them on the nearest dresser he took off his dinner coat and tossed it on same dresser. He mostly threw the coat at the dresser and the force of it pushed the cuffs and clip off and into forgetting. A hole in the floor swallowed up the bobbles for many years. Lord Gray having more than enough bobbles, he did not miss those so no one was looking for them. By the time they were found no one cared. The End
All conjecture of course, just practicing creative play. In that time and space things were a bit more serious. A Gentleman always wore cuff links and tie clips when going to events and work and breakfast and the bathroom… Formalitys and station and proticaul and all that! These would make a great gift for the gentleman in your world.
